SeeAbility Charity

SeeAbility is also the operating name for The Royal School for the Blind, who help people with a number of different disabilities, including –

  • Visual impairment
  • Learning & physical difficulties
  • Mental health problems
  • Brain injuries
  • Life limiting conditions

With over 200 years experience in these specialist fields, SeeAbility help provide expert support for the blind, partially sighted, and those with additional disabilities.

Founded in the 1700’s, the school was granted Royal approval by King George V. Things have changed quite a bit since those early days, with the name changing  from The Royal School for the Blind in 1994 to SeeAbility, with the powerful message to –

‘See Beyond Disability’

Their main office is based in Epsom, Surrey, but SeeAbility also provide services in –

  • East and West Sussex
  • Hampshire
  • Humberside
  • London
  • Somerset
  • Surrey

SeeAbility offer specialised services to develop and maintain independent living skills for those with sight and mental health problems.
