16 Ducks
In Bangladesh, 16 ducks could be the first steps in self-sufficiency for people recovering from flooding. Since 1998 Christian Aid partner Friends in Village Development Bangladesh have been helping people recover from devastating floods by giving them ducks. Duck farming helps people gain self sufficiency, duck eggs can be eaten and the ducks can be sold or bartered. This means that rather than taking out loans to help rebuild, communities can work towards a more secure future.
