Train a home-based carer

Your gift of training a home based carer will teach local women to provide basic medicine and counselling to people with HIV and AIDS in their own home.

Many of these people live in complete isolation, but thanks to your gift of training, the carer can better understand the disease and offer advice on how to stay healthy. This in turn will give them the strength to keep on moving forward and give their families, the chance of a brighter future.

Who benefits?

The number of women living with HIV and AIDS in remote Cambodian villages is rising rapidly. With very little information about HIV and AIDS available locally, home based carers can share their knowledge about the subject and help threat those dealing with the killer disease. Home based carers encourage women to get tested, and if they are positive, the carer can help them with counselling and ensure they take their medicine regularly.
