An energy saving stove

A stove is a great gift to bestow upon someone, particularly if they live in an area where firewood is scarce. A stove is of course great for cooking, but these energy saver versions retain heat for longer, so need less firewood. The perfect gift for a family that a struggling to make food.

Who benefits?

In the Apac district of Northern Uganda, women and children have to walk for many miles every day to try and gather enough firewood to fuel their open stoves. This creates many problems, not least their ability to cook for themselves. These energy efficient not only save time and energy on firewood collection, but they are also better for the environment.
