World Gifts from CAFOD (Catholic Agency for Overseas Development, the official overseas development and relief agency of the Catholic Church in England and Wales) offer a range of gifts starting at just £7.00.

• World Gifts range from a school starter pack to giving a community a new water supply
• Everything you buy acts as two presents in one, something for you to give a friend or relative and a real gift given to someone living in poverty.

The charity gift recipient gets :

• a beautifully designed gift certificate showing your chosen gift
• a great gift card with your own personal message
• a lovely bookmark
• Children's Gifts - all of the above plus an A3 activity sheet full of games, jokes and an illustrated story to colour in. The activity sheets help children understand how their gifts are helping people in the developing world.

Around 84,000 World Gifts were ordered in 2006 raising almost £2 million pounds! Each and every gift makes a lasting difference to someone in the developing world and helps people living in poverty build a better future for themselves

Each World Gift is provided by CAFOD who work in some of the poorest communities of the world with more than 500 partners helping them to find their own solutions to issues facing their day to day lives. World Gifts from CAFOD help all people regardless of race, gender, religion or nationality.
