Why not take part in the WWF summer raffle and not only help protect the natural world, but also be in with a chance to win £5000! Double whammy! The closing date is 9th July 2012, so you’ll have to hurry to make the most of this awesome charity raffle.
You can buy the tickets in books for £12 each, and if you register for Gift Aid, WWF get an 25p extra for every £1 you give as a donation at no extra cost. Here’s a simple breakdown of what your raffle donations could purchase to help the plight of the Asian elephant, who forest home is diminishing rapidly -
- One book could pay for a noise cannon to move elephants from farmers fields without causing harm
- Two books could pay for one waterproof sleeping bag for those monitoring the elephants
- Three books could pay for the uniforms of two rangers to protect the elephants
As you can see, your donations will make a huge difference in protecting the Elephants and their habitat. Plus of course, the first prize is £5000, with second collecting £1000, and third scooping £500. Not bad prize funds for helping to save the environment!
WWF is working hard with it’s partners in Asia to help stop the destruction of the elephants’ forests and working hard with local communities to help them live alongside their neighbours. Every raffle ticket you buy or sell will not only help WWF safeguard threatened habitats like those in Asia, but put you in with a chance of winning a great cash prize, you can’t say fairer than that folks!
If you would like to join the WWF you can find out more about the charities work at our WWF membership page. A membership is a monthly donation from as little as £3 a month that will go a long way to help save threatened species across the globe and their environment.
